Thomas Gunther has been a Chicago favorite of lindy hoppers for many years. His band has performed in Chicago often for WCLX and many other events in the past and have taught musicality classes for swing dancers for years. They have always understood and loved the interaction that a live band can have with swing dancers. We hope that you enjoy their hard-driving swinging jazz sets.

John Burnett Orchestra

The John Burnett Orchestra has played for several exchanges over the years. This orchestra keeps alive the forties big band sounds of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, and Tommy Dorsey among others. They love to play for swing dancers and we are happy to have them back for another year with their amazing singer Frieda Lee.

The Flat Cats

The Flat Cats are a relatively new band to the scene in Chicago, but have quickly become a very popular band among swing dancers. This band has more of a jump blues style, but they play a wide range of music from swinging jazz to contemporary classics.
